CCTVNEWS is the only
24-hour television channel of English broadcasting in China. We aim to provide global audiences with a better understanding of
today’s China, while offering a Chinese perspective on international news and
current affairs. CCTVNEWS is focused on becoming a high quality, trustworthy
and respected global news brand,
and a leading source of information in China, Asia and the world.

1.Position: News Anchor
Specialist
Area: NEWS reporter, NEWS reader, Communication Specialist

Job Description:
· Strong
performance in news gathering and reading
· Well-versed
in international and regional politics and economy
· Strong on-air delivery skills and ability to carry out breaking
news as a team work
· We expect
our news anchors to be easy-going
and collaborative.
· Provide advice for reporters and editors about scriptwriting
improvement.
· Take part
in CCTV NEWS publicity events.
· Obey the ethics and disciplines of CCTVNEWS with respect,
and commitment to CCTV editorial policies.

Requirements:
· Full experience of news reading and gathering
· 10 years above experience of news gathering and public
communication is required.

2. Position: News Editor
/Journalist (Beijing 12, Shanghai 2, Guangzhou
2, Chengdu 2)
Specialist
Area: TV news editing and reporting, communication specialist, news reader

Job Description:
· Well-experienced in TV news writing and gathering
· Well-versed
in international and regional politics and economy, with strong interest and knowledge in Chinese
related news
· We expect
our news editor are
easy-going and collaborative.
· Provide advice for reporters and editors about scriptwriting
improvement.
· Take part
in CCTVNEWS publicity events
· Obey the ethics and disciplines of CCTVNEWS with respect, and
commitment to CCTV editorial policies.

Requirements:
· Full experience of news writing and gathering
· 10 years above experience of news gathering and public
communication is required.

3.Position: Talk Show Editor

Job Description:
•Propose
relevant newsworthy topics
•Prepare
interview questions, including lead-in & lead-out for the host; help to
edit outlines written by Chinese colleagues
•Proofread
scripts of various background stories
•Record
voice-overs
•Responsible for writing of social media platforms (Twitter,
Facebook, YouTube, etc.
•Coach,
mentor and train Chinese colleagues

Requirements:
•Familiar
with current affairs, especially with international relations, economy and
trade, social issues, etc.
•Full experience as news generalist including writing,
voicing, reporting, editing, etc.
•5 years+
experience in TV talk show programs or newspapers

4. Position: Guest Booking Editor

Job Description:
•Responsible
for guest-booking for major news bulletins and talk shows on CCTVNEWS
•Propose
relevant newsworthy topics
•Search out
/ find guests for different topics and liaise with guests for program
arrangement
•Strong PR
and communication skills in building up people relationship
•Well-versed
in international and regional news events
•Able to work in a highly cooperative team and under intense pressure
•English as
native-speaking language or close to native level, basic conversation skill in Chinese is a plus.
•Experience
in iconic media outlets preferred, accumulation
of guest resources desired

Requirements:

•Strong
awareness of international news and current affairs
•A curious mind and good at sourcing new studio guests •Logical thinking ability and self-control of staying
calm, especially when program demands necessitate finding someone at
short notice
•Heartwarming and able to calm guests down and relax - not
just the beginning of approaching them, but also when they show up in the
studio

5. Position: Planning Editor
Specialist
Area: TV news project planning, including brand promotion projects for CCTVNEWS
Job
Description:
•Well-experienced in information gathering and
paper writing
•Well-versed
in international and regional politics and economy
•Do writing
and copy editing for CCTVNEWS Desk project plans and initiatives
•Being active and cooperative with CCTVNEWS' other production teams
•Take part
in CCTVNEWS publicity events
•Obey the ethics and disciplines of CCTVNEWS with respect,
and commitment to CCTV editorial policies.

Requirements:
•2 years or above experience in news production
•Chinese language
skill would be preferred

6. Position: Copy Editor/Copy Writer
Specialist
Area: TV news script writing and copy editing

Job Description:
·Helping
Chinese writers and non-native English speaking reporters present concise and
expressive stories, by providing help and advice on grammar,
content and flow, editing and re-writing scripts where necessary
·Writing
creative and snappy hourly news headlines
·Fact-tracking
·Writing
breaking news stories
·Voicing
packages and sound-bites
·Writing and
producing news stories when required
·Writing
live subtitles in the gallery when required

Requirements:
·Native
English speaker
·University
bachelor degree or above
·Minimum 5 years’
experience working in the media industry
·Able to
demonstrate excellent writing skills for television news
·Good
broadcasting voice
·Strong
attention to detail
·Strong
awareness of international news and current affairs
·Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
·Able to
work irregular hours, including nightshifts
·Good team
player
·Full experience of news writing and editing

7. Position: Studio Director
Specialist
Area: TV studio experience

Job Description:
·Management of large-scale projects
involving set design or specialty shows and disseminating control room traffic
to the necessary personnel including audio, tape role, and lighting cues
·work
closely with the show producers and technical crew to ensure the show rundown
is executed cleanly and accurately
·Collaborate
with senior management, producers and crew to create & organize production
elements including live shots, graphics, tapes and camera blocking
·Work with
set and graphic designers to enhance the overall creative look of a show

Requirements:
·5+ years’
studio experience directing live, fast-paced news, talk and/or sports oriented programs.
·University
degree
·Demonstration and maintenance ability for understanding
of established standards, equipment, and quality control of the industry.
·Knowledge
of live news, sports, talk and remote production operations
·Ability to
work irregular hours including early mornings,
evenings, weekends & holidays
