Professor Xiaolu Wang is professor of Literature and Cultural Criticism at College of Literature & Journalism and College of Foreign Literature & Cultures, Sichuan University (SCU), China. He serves also as Academic Director of Center for American Studies and chair of Professorship Committee of College of Overseas Education, SCU. He has been an Adjunct Faculty professor at ASU since 2007. He is the Member of the International Advisory Board of CLCWEB: Comparative Literature and Culture and the Executive editor of Comparative Literature: East & West.
Prof. Wang will talk about how Chinese culture has been under transformation within the process of economic drive and the global context.
No. 2: 中国文化资源与全球价值链 (中文讲座)

讲座将中国传统文化置于比较的视野中，集中讨论了在世界几个古文明区域中，中国文化的特质与要素以及作为整体延续的成因。讲座人从中国文化的构成性要素中 分析了其可资借鉴的核心价值，在此基础上指出，中国文化从来就是在与周边区域以及外部世界的交融丶碰撞以及互识中生存和发展的。世界文化的丰富性在于其差 异性，中国文化是当今世界文化资源中不可多得的分支。在中国大陆全力推进改革并主动进入国际社会之时，中国文化面对现代精神的开放将成为全球价值链中重要的一环.
